Massage Therapy 02-2.jpg

I'm not a doctor nor a healer nor a magician. But a lot of people who suffer from these ailments said my treatment worked very well on them. Did I cure them? I never claim that but they said it helps. Even my treatments helped to more than 90% of my clients (thousands of them), it doesn't mean it works to everyone because "Miracle happens to those who believe". So sorry, No guarantee whatsoever, it's a massage it's not a surgery. I understand some clients want some type of assurance about what they are buying but unfortunately in massage service the barometer does not exist. So, Expect less, Judge less, Complain less. Respect more, Thank more, Smile more. Fill your life with experiences even life doesn't come with any guarantee but Life gives us options. The more you observe, the more knowledges you have. Those knowledges will help you for decision-making. You can choose which one suits you most.

At my side, if people trust me they will still ask for my help. If they don't they will find somewhere
else, that's OK. Let us live a simple life, "Take it or Leave it" at the end everything falls into the proper place beautifully, it's called the law of supply & demand. I trust my instincts and judgement. If the client's desire continuously go against my standard service, I know my services are not in their best interests.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic Drainage Massage.jpg

What is Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

Lymphatic drainage massage (LDM) also known as Manual lymphatic drainage is a type of massage based on the hypothesis (hypothesis is a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further science investigation) that it will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. It relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness or bad circulation blocks your lymphatic system. Lymphatic drainage massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels.

What is Lymph?

Lymph is clear-to-white fluid made of a variety of substances, including proteins, salts, glucose, fats, water, and white blood cells. Question: how many percent fats in the lymph fluid? Wait, I'm searching on it. I believe it's very little.

What is Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

This is a text message from a prospect client, she is looking for "BRAZILIAN" lymphatic massage. She was not the only one. People are in line for trying a magic of Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage for Weight Loss? I just like 😳. If Lymphatic Drainage Massage works very well for weight loss, I should be skinny. Nope, I'm fat 😂.

01.jpg

It opened my eyes that in Massage Industry some businesses/people offered 'weight loss program' by claiming Lymphatic Drainage Massage works very well for weight loss. I used to work at some clinics. I had been performed hundreds of Lymphatic Drainage Massages Treatments for hundreds of patients. Our patient's treatments were covered by Insurances, so we performed Lymphatic Drainage Massages as many as needed, average they got between 5-20 sessions or more. None of them got weight loss benefits. If some people claim that Lymphatic Drainage Massage works very well for weight loss, then logically I didn't do all my Lymphatic Drainage Massage treatments right? It slaps right on my face.

Why they call it Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
It started in Brazil as the leader of plastic surgery procedures. Lymphatic Drainage Massage is considered mandatory after any cosmetic procedure there. Due to demand, Lymphatic Drainage Massage became very popular in Brazil. They made combination of The Vodder Technique with some of Leduc and Godoy maneuvers. This claims to deliver more instantaneous and visible results. I believe the results came from the 'plastic surgery procedures' not from the massage maneuver.

For more than 10years as a Professional Massage Therapist (more than 5years as a Medical Massage Therapist), I have no knowledge there is
any Massage Technique that helps weight loss benefits permanently. It helps for supporting the weight loss programs such as weight loss surgery procedures such as liposuction or tummy tuck performed by Medical Personnel, or any weight loss programs that including exercising, balance nutritions supervised by Medical Personnel, Massage is supplementary of Weight Loss Program, this program is supervised and monitored by Medical Personnel.  But massage by itself and perform by Estheticians/Massage Therapists who have no Medical Background/Science? It sounds like a joke of 21st century, doesn't it?

What is WEIGH LOSS?
Weight loss, in the context of medicine, health, or physical fitness, refers to a reduction of the total body mass, by a mean loss of fluid, body fat (adipose tissue), or lean mass (namely bone mineral deposits, muscle, tendon, and other connective tissue). Weight loss can either occur unintentionally because of malnourishment or an underlying disease, or from a conscious effort to improve an actual or perceived overweight or obese state.

"Unexplained" weight loss that is not caused by
reduction in calorific intake or exercise is called cachexia and may be a symptom of a serious medical condition. Intentional weight loss is commonly referred to as slimming. (Copy Paste from Wikipedia). By this explanation: Did people who claim Lymphatic Drainage Massage causes weight loss caused CACHEXIA ("Unexplained weight loss") to their clients? If so, their practice is very dangerous and should be investigated by Public Health Department.

My advice: If you come across a business or person claiming that their 'MAGIC' massage techniques help lose weight, it will be a good idea find the nearest exit and run as fast as you can. I have been in this industry for 10years, no one of my patients nor my clients claimed they experienced lose weight afterwards their Lymphatic Drainage Massage sessions. Don't trust Massage Therapists, trust in Science and you will save your $$$. It's too many con artists in this Massage Industry. Know the best ways to avoid being scammed, how? If it seems too good to be true, don't walk, Run. Being a victim of false claims can leave you feeling foolish and ashamed unless you have strong legal grounds to pursue legal action? at the end, you're a victim.

How to lose weight naturally without spending your $$$ , it's easy (just kidding 😂) but at least it reduces your calories intakes:

Why I offer a Lymphatic Drainage Massage? What type of Lymphatic Drainage do I offer?

Lymphatic Drainage Massage works especially it's very helpful in post surgical or post injury cases to help with swelling and inflammation. It is also very relaxing. Studies have found that Lymphatic Drainage Massage may be beneficial for
1. Rheumatoid Arthritis.
2.Chronic Venous Insufficiency
3. Fibromyalgia

Since I work by myself here (I'm not a Medical Massage Therapist) so I don't perform Lymphatic Drainage Massage for post surgery treatments nor for specific medical conditions. All these treatments are categorized Medical Treatments. All Medical Treatments need to be perform in Medical Setting and supervised by Medical Personnel. A medical SPA or Plastic Surgeon's office often perform manual lymphatic drainage in a pre-or post-operative capacity for these medical cases, such as liposuction or tummy tuck.

I performed Lymphatic Drainage Massage to almost every client in their session for RELAXING, for no extra charges. Or if my client has a special request for Lymphatic Drainage Massage Session then in 90minutes, I perform only Lymphatic Drainage Massage. What's the results?
This is a text message from my client after her Lymphatic Drainage Massage, all clients who got Lymphatic Drainage Massage sessions from me said they feel great after their session. They never claimed they feel skinnier or give me feed backs they lose weight.

If you are an healthy person, Lymphatic Drainage Massage helps for relaxing. Why Lymphatic Drainage Massage is so expensive? Mostly Lymphatic
Drainage Massage is for post-surgery treatments or treat specific medical conditions. There is very high risk to perform it to a post surgery patients. But if SPA Massage performed it for relaxing? In my opinion, you don't need to invest $$$ too much for feeling great, there is no risk for performing Lymphatic Drainage Massage for relaxing.

Why I don't promote Lymphatic Drainage Massage aggressively?
1. Since I offer Lymphatic Drainage Massage for healthy people, I believe if these people live a healthy life style, they don't need Lymphatic Drainage Massage. By doing regular exercising or active movement, it helps the lymph flow naturally.
2. If they have a specific condition like lymphedema, they need multiple sessions. Since I don't accept any insurance then
people would expect me to 'fix' their problem in a session or two, which is impossible. I don't want to deal with this situation. I just accept that my capacity is not suitable to these cases.
3. Since some businesses/people shook the muddy water 😏 in Massage Industry by claiming that their Lymphatic Drainage Massage worked very well for losing weight,  many people believed that nonsense and tried to book Lymphatic Drainage Massage appointments here for getting a Brazilian Lymphatic Massage. At my side, it's better to walk away than to tolerate nonsense. Let they go to providers who claimed that nonsense. If it doesn't work as they expected, I believe by losing their investment $$$ for nonsense is good exercising for their common sense. I don't want people invest their $$$ here if they don't feel the benefits of my treatment. I don't offer any kind of Weight Loss Programs here. I believe it's out of scope of my practice as a regular massage therapist. I am not interested in your money if you have bad intentions. I am interested to your good intentions for solving problems.

Are you carrying "Emotional Baggage?
Where Emotions get trapped in The Body can effect your Physical well-being.
The symptoms of traumatic stress can manifest physically. Activating a tender area of the stressed body & releasing stuck energy may trigger the memories in your brain.

I witnessed many of my clients experienced emotional release in their session. I should learn more psychology for handling this situation but by giving them a bottle of water helps even it's not holy water 😂.
I believe it's out of scope of my practice if I involve with this emotional release process. Afterwards they laughed. It's a sign for me they let those emotional baggage go. As people say "Healing doesn't mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls us", what's a beautiful session.

Science says: Emotional Release process allows your mind and body to reprogram itself on a cellular level by releasing this negative "Emotional Baggage". The mind and body are not separate. What affects one affects the other.

Life is short. Don't let emotional baggage weigh you down.
You may lose people you love,
You may lose the things you have,
But No Matter what happens, Never lose yourself and my phone number 😂

This is not typical SPA massage,
This is a therapeutic massage style,
it's a very unique massage therapy done by a unique massage therapist.

I've always loved the idea of not being what people expect me to be but
I delivered my products beyond their expectation
I always tried to deliver what I promised
I always tried NOT to sugarcoat my product

It's oriented and focused to your specific issues,
it's not oriented and focused to the techniques/modalities.

I don't sell my skills of using those modalities.
I don't sell 'deep-tissue massage' or

Swedish massage' or
'Myofascial Release' or
"Craniosacral Massage" or whatever you name it
I sell my abilities of using those modalities (there are hundreds of them)
to solve my client's specific issues
 through a variety of techniques.
I approach each client with the idea of helping them solve their problems, achieving goals.
I need to know their specific issues first,
absolutely not of selling modalities.
I don't care about modalities and
their fancy names.
Tell me the reasons why you're interested to my service.
These information gives me the ideas what modalities that need to be applied.

I got many feedback like these

I am not a Medical Massage Therapy
What is Medical Massage Therapy?

I used to work at clinics based on diagnosis from the doctors to treat my patients who receive Medical Care. I was a Medical Massage Therapist

But now I open my own, I am not a Medical Massage Therapist. I am a regular Massage Therapist but my style is Therapeutic Style/Clinical Style (not SPA-style) because that's my background.

Some Massage Therapists claim they are A Certified Medical Massage Therapist.
1. Are they using CERTIFIED term correctly? OR it's just a certificate of completion?
2. Are they using the MEDICAL term for Marketing Purposes? If they don't work based on doctors/physicians/chiropractor diagnosis, they are not Medical Massage Therapist. It's kind of False Claim/Sugar-coat, isn't it? Or they just don't know what they are doing? In Marketing this is what we call very bad positioning.

Choose only qualified, professional and trusted Massage Therapists. Don't get fooled. Better to be slapped with the truth than kissed with a lie.

Currently, the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) is the only national, entry-level licensing examination that states use when assessing a candidate for licensure. I passed this exam in 2013 with high score 721, passing score only 630.The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) now only offers the Board Certification Examination (BCETM).

Why You Should Try

Therapeutic Massage

Regular SPA Massage is best known as a way to help you relax and relieve stress. But Therapeutic Massage goes way beyond mere relaxation. A therapeutic massage can greatly benefit your overall well-being. The more focused work can help decrease your pain and increase your range of motion, making it easier to function in your world in daily life.

A therapeutic massage might help you with more serious muscles issues. This therapeutic type of massage involves more focused work on your body’s soft tissue — the muscles, tendons and ligaments than just "RELAXATION". Mostly the Massage therapist had a ton clinical rehabilitation experiences  who are trained to find and focus on problem areas that you may not be getting the results you want from other traditional SPA Massage treatments.

Wellness from Within has more than 165 positive reviews on Yelp. And some clients just sent me text message of their testimonies:

There are no typical therapeutic massages routines. There are no specific techniques/modalities. The therapist may use various techniques/modalities during your treatment session that suitable to your issues. Your massage therapist will tailor the massage to your needs, depending on the areas of issue without bother what kind of technique they are going to apply. Instead of a full-body massage, however, a therapeutic massage session usually will focus on your areas of concern for an extended time. If your expectation is full-body massage, you may be referred to get SPA full-body massage which provides that service. Wellness from Within doesn't provide SPA style massage nor full-body massage. It's Therapeutic Massage by using Holistic Approach.

When you first time contact the therapist to making  an appointment, they maybe ask you some medical history. It’s important to explain to the massage therapist what you would like worked on, your concerns and your expectations. So talk to the therapist about what has been going on and the primary reason you need the therapeutic treatment.  For example, why did your doctor recommend you have a therapeutic massage? If the massage therapist is unfamiliar with your issues such as she/he think you have recent internal injured you may be referred to other treatments such as see a doctor who can better serve you.

Wellness is a multifaceted approach to living that promotes being well in all areas of life. It is more than just the absence of disease or illness, it's including to find your true-self from inside.

My massage skills, my knowledge and my intuitive that I bring to the treatment session can aid people with enhancing their health and general wellness. Their relaxed body will bring them to the inner peace. When they find peace within themselves that's the time healing process takes over.

There really are hundreds of massage techniques out there. But I believe, excellence in Massage Therapy is not measured by those techniques, but by my skill to use them creatively and intuitively, and by the quality of my touches for solving my patients/clients problems. It's not about the techniques, it's about being fit to your needs. Most of my patients and my clients feel the improvement of their state of well-being right away after my treatments.

Wellness from Within facilitate healing to its clients by using holistic approach where the body, the mind and the spirit are a whole system.

Holistic Massage has so many additional benefits and can help treat a number of your health situation (not only for Relaxing), both mentally and physically. It can be used as a routine health plan treatment or as an ad-hoc theraphy

As a Massage Therapist who understand the scope of practice of regular Massage Therapist. I don't accept any Medical cases:

  • Post-Surgery Treatment

  • Fix any Medical Issues

  • Aftermaths any Accidents

PRECAUTIONS

Massage therapy does not constitute medical treatment and is not a substitute for a medical examination or diagnosis. If you're dealing with a serious health condition check with your health care provider before seeking massage therapist and make sure you inform your massage practitioner of your health conditions that may affect the work considering possibility  internal injured your have.
