F.A.Q

What do you expect getting this professional massage session?

  • I will evaluate your expectation before you're getting this professional massage session. So prior to the session you need to fill up an intake form and sign a cupping consent form. These information can be very helpful for me to determine the best result to your situation. And also, I consider massage can affect multiple body system, such as cardiovascular and nervous systems, be honest with me about your health and pharmaceutical drugs or botanical medicines you're taking. Knowing your history allows me to determine if there are any reasons you should avoid massage or a particular technique.

  • Prior the session I will asses your body. This information helps me design your session to best address your needs then I will start the session by focusing on your specific body parts which need to be recovered. And use multiple techniques which are suitable for you to recover you from the problems you are suffering.

  • I will check in with you periodically for feedback on pressure and your general comfort. You need to give me feedback if something is uncomfortable or irritating.

  • Most of the time I avoid any unnecessary conversation during the session, please focus to your breathing because any unnecessary conversation can be a distraction to my focusing in the very short-time session for addressing your issues.

  • If you have any concerns, please tell me about it before we start our session, otherwise it can be a distraction at my side in our limited time session.

  • In a session you will get massages, cupping treatment, hot-stones and aromatherapy.

Should you get Massage Therapy after an ACCIDENT/AFTERMATH SURGERY?

  • It is very important to check with your physician before adding massage to any type of medical care after an accident.

  • Ask your doctor to recommend a massage therapist who has training in addressing (or working around) your specific medical conditions.

  • A referral from a doctor (not from physical therapist) is required for massage therapy treatment because they must do an assessment of the injured person in order to clear them for massage.

  • The massage therapist (A Medical Massage Therapist) should work closely with your medical doctor throughout the treatment process.

  • Come to a Regular Massage Therapist after an accident as I am, is not recommended.I recommend you to go to a Medical Massage.

What is Medical Massage?

Medical Massage is result oriented and the treatment is specifically directed to resolve your Medical Conditions that have been diagnosed and prescribed by a professional Physician. Since it is beyond Massage Therapists scope of practice to diagnose, they must work from a doctor's prescription if they are claiming to treat a specific Medical Condition. They are classified as Medical Provider.

Can a Regular Massage Therapy who has a Medical Massage Certification claim they are a Medical Massage Therapy? To my knowledge there is no regulation to say they can not do that. But in my opinion, it's a misleading practice since a Regular Massage Therapy has no ability to diagnose their clients then how could they solve the Medical Conditions unless based on their assumptions? It's dangerous, isn't it? I don't believe their training/seminar of their Medical Massage Certification is comparable to the knowledge of a physician.

What is Regular Massage Therapy/Non-prescription Massage Therapy?

Regular Massage Therapy is only address clients by assessment to determine the soft-tissues imbalance. They can not diagnose the clients's Medical Conditions  and they are not a Medical Provider. If you have any Medical Conditions it's not recommended to find a solution to a Regular Massage Therapist as I am.

Why Am I sore after being Massaged? What did you do to me?

It is common to have some mild pain and even slight swelling after receiving deep corrective massage. This is called therapeutic inflammation. It happens when new white blood cells come to the area to clean out all the old, dead, nasty junk (waste products) in your tissues. Yes it feels a little discomfort. But thanks God, you feel it after a long period of time you 'shut down' your brain to feel that sensation, and Massage re-awakens your brain awareness to those areas.

Day 1-- you get a massage. It feels great~the pressures are perfect, everything feels loosened up, even if some times the massage was painful (you feel the pain is in a good way). You feel a little tired or slightly loopy. The body feels very relaxing and you tip the massage therapy very well.

Day 2-- you wake up in the morning feeling like a truck ran you over in the night. You check under the bed, no truck... It must have been the massage. You may feel stiffness in the limbs that were worked, and tightness or fullness in the specific muscles that were massaged. You may even feel slightly sick if you have never received massage before, or if you smoke cigarettes or drink a lot of alcohol on a regular basis. You take a hot shower with Epsom Salt, you take time to have a good rest and have some nutrition food, and drink lots and lots and lots of water, do some light stretching.

Day 3-- you feel fantastic! Everything that hurt yesterday feels much better. The swelling is gone, and with it, went the pain. You drank plenty of water and you feel ready to run that marathon you haven't started training for yet. You have range of motion back in that previously tight body part, you can stretch it further, and it somehow even feels stronger. If it has been a long-term chronic issue, it may not feel 100 percent cured, but it should feel significantly better than before the massage by Naomi. And you feel it's time to put a positive review on her Yelp's account because she is incredible for what's she did.

WHAT IS CUPPING THERAPHY?

SHOULD YOU TRY IT?

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

What the benefit of cupping therapy?

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping Therapy practitioners believe that Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism

The bruises?

Yes, they look like bruises but they are not bruises, it's called discoloration. Bruising is caused by impact trauma leading to breakage of capillaries and a reactionary rush of fluids to the damaged location from the tissue injury. There is no compression in cup therapy. The marks are the result of having internal unwanted waste from your muscles pulled up to the skin. These marks for cupping can last for a few days up to two weeks.

Side Effects?

Cupping is fairly safe, as long as you go to a trained practitioner professional. They had learned if there is reasons if you should not get cupping therapy, contraindications and possible side effect to your health condition.
